Southern Training Event & Open Meeting – Hunts Sailing Club, Saturday 26th & Sunday 27th April 2014

The training event is open to everyone – from beginners wanting to learn basic rigging, spinnaker or trapezing techniques, to more advanced sailors looking for tuning advice. There will be on the water video coaching to help develop your skills with advice from our the classes top sailors. Food at the club is included during the day on Saturday. There is plenty of local accommodation available for those saying over for the open meeting on Sunday and there will be a meal at a local Indian Restaurant on Saturday evening, where there will be a debrief session. Ed will be at the club from 09:00 I will go through Tuning and rig setting while people are rigging with a demo on the club boat at 10:30 aim to be rigged by 11:00 and on the water for boat handling skills and a shake out until 12:00. the training cost includes lunch so no need to bring packed lunch for Saturday (it also includes Bacon butties when you arrive!! and Cake in the afternoon, but I’m getting off subject it happens ) Then in the afternoon we will look at kite work (if the wind allows trapezing (I’ve ordered the sun, it worked last year :)). then we will look at starts and short races for a bit of fun to finish. Then off to a local Curry House if you would like to join in (not included in the price sorry ) for our evening meal and debrief
Please let me know if you are coming so I can give Jan Carver numbers for the food and if there is any areas that you would particularly like to cover on this weekend as I am flexible and I would like you all to get the maximum out of the weekend. the cost is £30 for the full weekend £15 just for a day and £20 for members. look forward to seeing those that can make it
